AS Overveiw

Synopsis
The video is my final AS production of an opening sequence, of a districts nurse arriving at a patience house, when she entrance the house she hears a crash in the basement and experiences an unusual event.

Successful
We were very pleased with our final task, as it was more successful than we predicted it to be. It  as successful as we made a detailed plan on when everything must be done and we suck to it this stopped us from panicking and allowed us to concentrate to make sure that we were are to put all our effort into making sure the part of the production we were working on was to the best of our ability.

We had a variety of camera shot such as close up of the candle and point of view, long shot, this made sure that the audience didn't get bored and they were kept intrigued. We also used a ranged of camera angles, such high angle and low angle this made it seem realistic.

We manged to used sound effectively as we were able to build tension, and helped the audience to understand what is happening in the scene. the sound effects that we used gave a chilling factor which both made our audience jump and become frightened which is a characteristics of a horror film.

Editing help make our production a success as it helped us with our continuity by using match on action, as this made it more realistic and therefore the audience will be more captivated with the film. we also used the 180 degree rule, so the audience was able to see where the specific objects were in contrast to the character.

Improvements
We could have used more camera movements. As we only used a few movements such as pan and zoom. This means that the audience would might not have found as interesting as they would have if it had been more interesting by using a wider range and camera movements.

The storyline could have been more creative as it was a typical stereotype of a horror film. It was a vulnerable woman. we should have used the Internet to think of more creative ideas that would have intrigued the audience.
